Position: Coordinator of Confirmation and Youth Ministry
Type: At Will, Part-Time/Hourly (up to 20 hours per week)
Compensation: $13.00-$15.00 per hour
Applications for the Coordinator of Confirmation and Youth Ministry position at Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Wisconsin, (an ELCA church), are now being accepted. This is an
hourly position of up to 20 hours per week beginning in August. The hours are flexible and
depend upon youth activities and include Wednesday night confirmation classes.
Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of balanced Youth Ministry and Confirmation
programs to include group building, worship, and teaching. - Build positive relationships with youth to encourage them in their walk of faith.
- Recruit and train volunteers to support Youth Ministry and Confirmation to ensure
adequate volunteer support and adult-to-youth ratios. - Keep records of youth participation and manage the Youth Ministry and Confirmation
budgets. - Communicate in a timely manner and as effectively as possible using all available
resources (website, email, social media, etc.) - Attend and participate in related committees, ministries, and staff meetings.
